Defuse training simulates the spike-defuse scenario — the high-pressure moment when you're defusing and enemies may peek to deny you, or you're retaking a site with the spike planted. This drill spawns enemy targets during a defuse countdown, training you to react instantly to peeks and make split-second kill decisions while the timer ticks down. It combines reaction speed, target acquisition and composure under pressure.

Stay Calm Under Timer Pressure

The countdown creates panic. Train yourself to treat each enemy peek as a discrete reaction event, ignoring the timer. Panic spraying loses clutches; composed one-taps win them.

Master the Fake Defuse

Pros fake-defuse to bait enemies into peeking. Our Fake mode trains you to recognize the defuse audio cue and counter-bait — don't peek when you hear the fake, hold your angle.

Clutch Decision-Making

In 1v2/1v3, isolation matters: take one duel at a time, reposition between kills. Clutch mode trains target prioritization when multiple enemies appear.

Defuse is decision-making under timer pressure with multiple threats. Peek is single-enemy reaction to a probe. Reaction is pure reflex speed. Defuse combines peek reaction with clutch composure — the most game-like drill in this hub. Pair with Peek Training and Reaction Test.

5-10 minutes as a scenario warm-up, 2-3 times a week. Defuse training is mentally taxing — longer sessions breed fatigue and panic-spraying habits. Quality reps with full composure beat marathon sessions. Focus on staying calm, not on speed.
