Valorant Reaction Time Test Measure Your Reflexes

A reaction time test measures the delay between a visual stimulus (the screen turning green) and your physical response (clicking). It isolates pure reflex speed from aiming mechanics, giving you a baseline number in milliseconds. In Valorant, reaction time decides who wins first-shot duels — the player who registers and responds to an enemy peek faster gets the kill.
How to Improve Your Reaction Time
Sleep and Hydration
Reaction speed is brutally honest about your physical state. Poor sleep can add 30-50ms. Aim for 7+ hours and hydrate before playing.
Reduce Input Latency
A 144Hz+ monitor, low-latency mouse and disabled VSync each shave off milliseconds that compound with your reflexes.
Warm Up
Your first test of the day is always slower. Do 2-3 warm-up rounds, then record your real score.
Reaction vs Flick vs Tracking
Reaction is how fast you respond to a stimulus. Flick is how fast you move your crosshair to a target. Tracking is how well you hold your crosshair on a moving target. Reaction is the foundation — even perfect flick aim loses if you react 100ms slower than your opponent. Train all three with our Aimball and Flick drills.
How Long Should You Test Reaction?
Reaction time fluctuates daily, so a single test is meaningless. Run 5 rounds daily and track the average over weeks. Pros average 180-250ms; below 200ms is elite. Don't obsess over a single fast click — consistency matters more than peak.
